about

Comprised of members from Chicago & NYC's most dynamic reggae groups (The Drastics, Deal's Gone Bad, The Far East, Uzimon, Full Watts Band); The Ignobles bring a vintage Jamaican aesthetic with modern production - Heavy instrumentation and attention to thoughtful, poignant lyrics.

Their sophomore 7" features two politically-charged funky-reggae-rhythm-stews penned by frontman Mike Sarason. Both tunes shout a heavy message against the inequality and inequity in this world.

'Make Me Wanna' shares the sentiment so many of the unheard and marginalized feel during these increasingly over-politicized times. But it also shares the frustration so many deal with who only want to make this world a safer and more inclusive place - only to be drowned out by the hateful and willfully ignorant.

'Living Dangerously' espouses a different kind of wisdom - taking the conventional message of "stop what you're doing, you'll end up dead or in jail" and instead of addressing it to an individual, sending it to the collective whole - to be living in the 21st century is to be living dangerously - our choices have led us here.

For the digital release, dub-monger King Tony bumped the recording down to 4-track analog cassettes and dubbed the tracks old-school style with just a simple reverb and a delay.

Our HAAL S.P.A.C.E. technology was also able to capture signal beamed off a haunted satellite from somewhere outside our solar system.
