about

Longtime fans of Happy As A Lark House Band The Drastics will surely remember Corey Dixon from a group named The Zvooks that blazed the path to the Drastics formation.  What is probably less known is that Corey has not stopped writing amazing songs over the years including this new protest/solidarity tune 'We Wanna See A Solution'.

Perfectly encapsulating the mood of the movement - both somber, determined and hopeful.  Since Mr. Dixon originally penned the tune as a soul tune we took a shot at that - and since we are exclusively a reggae label, we also tracked a roots version as well...

All proceeds from downloads will benefit Chicago Mutual Aid which amongst other initiatives helps combat homelessness, helps with increasing food resilience in communities, provides PPE, free Covid tests, and supplies to new mothers.
